We are always happy to answer any queries you may have regarding any aspect of our event, but one or two questions seem to be cropping up quite regularly so we have created a frequently asked questions section.
All 3 courses will be used on each day. With a field of 150 pairs, 50 pairs will be drawn to play at each of the 3 courses on each day. The groups of 50 will then rotate and play a different course each day. It is not possible to say which course you will be playing on each day until the draw is made after the entries close.
No, it is not compulsory for anyone to attend the registration event, but those who choose to register on the morning of the first day of play will not receive a goodie bag or raffle tickets for the presentation event.
No, the BRS system is used purely to enter the tournament and pay. After the entries close on the 24th July the draw will be posted on this website with tee times between 10:00 and 14:00 on the first two days and 09:00 and 13:00 on the final day.
It is your responsibility to reserve a buggy directly with each club. Choose the order in which you want to play each of the three courses, although buggies may be subject to availability, call each club and book your buggy accordingly quoting EVMGT. Once you have done this you need to e-mail us via the 'DROP US A LINE' button on our 'Contact Us' page to tell us which days you have booked a buggy at each course. We will then make sure you are playing the correct course in the draw to match your buggy booking .
A current and active handicap index identifies a player that has returned a minimum of three qualifying scores per year. We would therefore require all entrants to have submitted at least three verified scores for handicap purposes (competition rounds) in the twelve months leading up to the tournament start date, and these be available for review by the tournament organisers if requested.
Depending on the size of the group yes, but you will need to let us know your group details via email at the time of booking. We will try to keep groups to similar tee times but you will not be drawn to play in the same four ball as others from within your group.
The draw will be made as soon as possible once the entries close on the 24th of July. We are aiming to have the draw on the website for the 26th of July. Once drawn the draw will appear in the DRAW page of the website.
Penrith GC is central is terms of the courses hosting the event but anyone staying in the immediate area of any of the clubs will be able to travel to each course easily. Brampton GC to Penrith GC is 35 minutes by car and Appleby GC to Penrith GC is 28 minutes. We have added some suggestions to our ACCOMMODATION page, but the choice is entirely yours.
For the purposes of our competition Gentlemen will use the yellow tees at Brampton and Penrith and gold at Appleby. Ladies will use the red tees at Brampton and Penrith and blue at Appleby. The scorecards will indicate which tees are to be used.
If the online booking has closed and we still have spaces left for late entries, please contact us via the DROP US A LINE button and we may still be able to accept your entry.
